WordPress is a great blogging platform. And there are so many technical things in it that you should know about. One of them is, plugins

First of all, you need to know what is the WordPress Plugins and how to install it on your blog. I have already told about the WordPress vs Blogger platform. There are also many blogging platforms, but most people choose one of these two.

WordPress gives you complete freedom of blogging. In which you can do your own wish-to-modification.

This is what plugins are used to do in this work.

If you have to add a new feature to your blog, you will usually hire a developer, who will charge you for it. But WordPress plugins do the same thing for free. Those who do not have coding, this is best for them. This is a special feature which is not available in Google (Blogger).

There are four ways to install WordPress Plugins

  1. Search & Install
  2. Download & Install
  3. Using FTP
  4. Using Cpanel

Let us know about these four methods.

01. Search & Install

Because this is the simplest way to install the plugin, so almost all bloggers use this method. For this, you have to login to your WordPress dashboard and then go to the Plugins section and click on Add New.

After that, there will be a new window in front of you where you will have the option to search for plugins and then search for the plugin which you want to install.

After that, the list of plugins will display in front of you, click on the install now button that you want, and after the installation is complete, click on Active.

In my advice download the plugin from the official WordPress website or any licensed plugin you are buying from a provider, then only use those plugins.

Just like in the first method, login into the WordPress dashboard and then click add new and after then click on Upload Plugin button.

Then choose the .zip file which you have downloaded in your computer and click on install now button and just click on active plugin button.

For this, you will need an FTP software that lets you upload the plugin into your files and install it. For this, you have to unzip the plugin’s zip file and then upload it using FTP.

The plugins are uploaded in the public_html/wp-content/plugins folder.

After you upload the plugin and then activate it by going to the WordPress dashboard’s plugins section.

04. Install Plugin from Cpanel

For this, you will have to login to your hosting Cpanel and then click on the file manager and go to public_html/wp-content/plugins and click on the upload button, then you can select the zip file from the computer. Upload and then unzip that zip file Your plugin will be installed.

After you upload the plugin and then activate it by going to the WordPress dashboard’s plugins section.

Delete/Uninstall Plugins

Every activate plugin has the option to deactivate at the bottom of the same plugin. If you want to delete a plugin, then go to the plugins section in the WordPress dashboard and click on installed plugins option. Then click on deactivate button in that plugin which you want to delete, and then click on delete button. Your plugin will be deleted.
